How Many Alternatives Do You Have?

How do you overcome a bad situation? How do you deal with negative thoughts? How do you behave when you are terribly upset? What do you do when you are in distress?

Experienced people like our parents and older people tend to solve complicated issues amicably because they have experienced similar issues before, and now they have many solutions in their repertoire to choose from. But if a bad situation strikes you unexpectedly for the first time, you are left with the chance of turning something bad to good or worse.

All these have to do with a plan. Planning what to do before a bad situation strikes can be very helpful. Being fully prepared about a situation can help someone to deal with it properly and with ease.

A person can decide that if anyone should make him/her angry, he/she will try hard not to talk or say something negative. Such person will definitely remember his/her decision when someone gets him/her upset. But what if such person has no plan at all? How can he/she cope when the unexpected happens?

Always anticipate the unexpected.

Know in your heart that the world is uncertain and anything can happen. If you have no plan at all about a situation, always try to do the right thing.

Talk if you know you are right but do not be violent.

Talk when people offend you and do not hide anything. When the other person has nothing left than to attack you, do not be aggressive or try to fight.

A fight does not usually have a pleasant aftermath.

If you insult someone or fight him/her because he/she made you angry, it will be hard to reconcile with such person, so, always prevent a fight.

Someone can understand.

Whenever you are frustrated or upset, find someone who cares and understands your situation.

Let God direct you.

Always pray and leave everything to God to control. He is the only solution to all problems, and He has many alternatives for you. He tells you the right thing to do at the wrong time.
